Our countdown has begun. 19 days to takeoff, one more class before we go.
The irregular classes with the students who can make it have me excited for traveling with this group. Two years ago there were 27 students on the trip and it was great but I felt like I never had the time to really sit with anyone. This group has only 14 students, a number that feels much more personable. 100% of us are going to arrive at least one day early. We will go visit the National Museum on the 20th, then meet Niamh and John from Institute of Study Abroad - Ireland on the 21st. We will be together as an entire group from 21-31 May, then most of the students will leave, but 6 will stay on for an additional 4-days of travel. We're going to take the train to Galway and the ferry to Inis Mor -- I'm excited.
My only concern is that I have done everything that needs to be done before we leave. Of course, the motherboard on my phone chose this week to die. My phone is off for repair and my fingers are crossed that it will be back in my hands before we fly off. I've become spoiled being able to use it for photos, etc and I know I'll be a little off-kilter if I lose that on the trip.
Also, of course, I'm worried about leaving behind my boys (2 children and 1 husband) and all my pets. They'll survive, but it's always a little sad.
